    Select the right panel thickness

    Available standard MDF ranges from thin panels for lightweight components to thicker sheets for cabinetry, millwork and furniture. Choose around structure, machining and edge details.

    Compare 8-foot and 10-foot sheets

    Longer sheets can reduce seams or improve yield on tall components. Build a cut plan before selecting sheet dimensions and quantities.

    Prepare for paint or laminate

    MDF provides a smooth, consistent face for painted and laminated work. Edges require deliberate preparation because they absorb finish differently than the face.

    Keep standard MDF in suitable conditions

    Standard MDF should be specified for compatible interior environments. Consider exterior MDF or PVC where moisture exposure changes the requirement.

    What can standard MDF sheets be used for?

    Common interior uses include cabinetry, furniture, millwork, painted components, laminated panels, moulding and slatwall fabrication.

    What thicknesses of MDF are available?

    The current collection includes several thicknesses from 1/4 inch through 3/4 inch. Sheet size and stock status vary by product.

    Is standard MDF moisture resistant?

    Standard MDF should not be treated as a moisture-resistant panel. Review exterior MDF or PVC options when the environment requires different performance.
