    Start with baseboards and casings

    Choose baseboards and door or window casings together so their proportions, thicknesses and profile language work at every transition. Add backbands where an opening needs more depth or visual weight.

    Add crown and wall details

    Crown moulding, panel moulding, wainscoting and chair rail can extend the same design language through walls and ceilings. Room scale, ceiling height and the amount of existing detail should guide the profile size.

    Compare materials by application

    The catalog includes primed MDF, finger-jointed pine, poplar and other materials depending on the profile. Confirm the material, finish, dimensions and intended use on each product before finalizing a package.

    Prepare a room-by-room takeoff

    List wall lengths, doors, windows, ceiling conditions and selected profiles by room. Include an allowance for cuts and waste, then request a quote so availability and order-specific pickup or delivery options can be confirmed.

    Should baseboards and casings match?

    They do not need to be identical, but their style, thickness and proportions should relate to one another. Reviewing them as a pair helps avoid awkward transitions at door openings.

    Can Trim Depot quote a complete trim package?

    Yes. Send a room list, measurements, selected profiles and estimated quantities so the team can prepare project pricing.

    Do you supply trade and homeowner projects?

    Yes. Trim Depot serves contractors, builders, designers and homeowners across Toronto and the GTA.

    Does Trim Depot install these products?

    No. Trim Depot supplies products and may be able to refer an independent installer. The installer’s scope, pricing, schedule, workmanship and warranty are arranged directly between the customer and installer.
